About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong Production Engineering Lead to join a leading technology company specialising in industrial and embedded hardware solutions.

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the production environment, acting as the key technical authority on the shop floor. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring product quality, supporting daily operations, and driving continuous improvement across build and test processes.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership on the Production Floor

• Provide hands-on technical support across day-to-day production activities
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex production issues
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and system compatibility challenges

Build & Process Optimisation

• Develop, refine, and standardise build processes and work instructions
• Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation
• Support first-article builds and validate new product configurations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, configuration, and quality teams
• Ensure smooth introduction of new products into production
• Support alignment between design, manufacturing, and testing

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to production workflows
• Drive efficiency, quality, and repeatability across processes
• Contribute to a culture of operational excellence

About You

• Strong experience in production engineering or electronics manufacturing
• Hands-on expertise in hardware build, system integration, or configuration
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience creating or improving production processes and documentation
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Practical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset
